Terms, in plain words.
What you can expect from MePlans and WePlans, and what MePlans asks of you.
Effective [date, Emerson]
The agreement
These are the terms between you and [the legal entity behind MePlans, Emerson] ("MePlans", "we") for the website at meplans.com, the MePlans app and WePlans (together, "MePlans"). By joining or using MePlans you agree to them. If you are using WePlans for an organization, you say that you may bind it to these terms.
Your account
You sign in with a Microsoft account, and keeping that account safe is yours to do. One person, one account. You are responsible for what is done through it. You must be an adult to have one [18 or 13, Emerson].
The plan and its price
MePlans is one paid plan, at the price shown on the pricing page and in the app before you choose it. New plans begin with the free days shown there: your card is taken then and nothing is charged until they end. After them, the price is charged at the start of each period, month by month, until you end it.
You can end your plan at any time from Settings, under My plan. It runs to the end of the period you paid for, and nothing more is taken; what you paid for the current period is not refunded. [Emerson: confirm no refunds, or state the refund rule.] If a payment fails, the payment provider retries it, and your plan is paused if it keeps failing. If the price changes, you are told in the app at least thirty days before it applies to you.
Payments are handled by the payment provider under its own terms. MePlans never sees your card number.
What is yours
Everything you put into MePlans is yours: your scorecards, your goals, your words, your journal, your numbers. You give MePlans only the permission it needs to keep them, show them to you, and run MeMind on them when you ask; nothing more. You can export all of it at any time. The MePlans software, its design, its words and its marks are ours.
WePlans and the Me Community
What you write in a WePlans is seen by its members, and stays in the group's document when you leave. The owner of a WePlans can remove a member and can delete the plan for everyone. Treat the people in your group as you would in a room with them.
A goal you offer to the Me Community is shared with every member under a free, permanent permission to use it in their own plans. Offer only what you wrote yourself or have the right to share. Offers are approved before they appear and can be taken back by you, which stops new copies but not those already added.
MeMind
MeMind reads your plan to make proposals and, when you ask, sends the parts it needs to a model to draft or answer. It can be wrong. Nothing it proposes changes your plan until you approve it, and what you approve is your decision.
Not advice
MePlans supports habits and planning. It does not give medical, financial or legal advice, and nothing in the app, on the site or from MeMind is a substitute for a professional who knows your situation. For anything about your health, your money or your rights, ask one.
Using it well
Do not use MePlans to break the law, to harm or harass anyone, to find a way into anyone else's account or plan, to overload the service, or to copy its software. Do not put into a WePlans or the Me Community anything you have no right to share. We may suspend or end an account that does these things, and we tell you why unless the law prevents it.
The service itself
We work to keep MePlans running and your plan safe, and we keep the saved copy of your plan on servers with industry-standard protection. We cannot promise it is never interrupted or never wrong, and MePlans is provided as it is, without other warranties, to the extent the law allows. Export your plan whenever you want a copy of your own. If we ever close MePlans, we give at least sixty days' notice in the app and keep exports working through them.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, MePlans is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, and its total liability to you for anything arising from these terms is limited to what you paid MePlans in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Ending
You can end your account at any time by writing to the address on the Contact page; your plan and your account are deleted and confirmed back to you. We can end an account for a breach of these terms. Ending does not undo a payment already made for the current period.
Changes
When these terms change in a way that matters, we say so in the app or on this site at least thirty days before the change applies, and the date at the top changes. Using MePlans after that date is agreeing to the new terms; if you do not agree, end your plan before it.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of California, and any dispute is brought in the state or federal courts of [county, Emerson], California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to something else. [Emerson: confirm the forum, and whether you want an informal-resolution step first.]
